LiuGong's 924FE Electric Excavator to Debut in America
LiuGong's 924FE 30-ton electric excavator is set to arrive in North America, boasting improved performance and reduced operating costs compared to diesel-powered machines.
Electric equipment brand LiuGong is preparing to introduce its 924FE 30-ton electric excavator to the North American market. According to the company, the 924FE is not an alternative to diesel-powered machines, but rather a superior option in every way. The 924FE features a 528 kWh LFP battery that can provide up to 10 hours of continuous runtime, making it suitable for a full day's shift. The battery can be recharged from 15% to 100% in under 3 hours, and a 10-80% charge can be achieved in under 90 minutes using a 300 kW DC connection. Inside the excavator, operators can expect a range of comforts and controls, including a 10-inch touchscreen, 360-degree cameras, and a heated air-suspension seat. The machine also features a reverse fan for easier cleaning and bright LED work lights with delayed shutoff for improved safety. ## Saving time, saving money LiuGong claims that its electric construction equipment can reduce operating costs by 40% to 50% compared to similar diesel-powered machines. This is attributed to reduced fuel costs, maintenance requirements, and replacement parts costs. Additionally, electric vehicles are known to increase operator retention, reduce sick days, and make employee recruiting easier, all of which can also lead to cost savings. The battery packs and electric motors on LiuGong's electric construction equipment come with a five-year or 10,000 operating hours warranty, as well as a "complete machine" warranty for three years or 4,000 hours. LiuGong's 924FE electric excavator is set to make a significant impact in the North American market, offering improved performance and reduced operating costs compared to traditional diesel-powered machines. As the industry continues to shift towards electric vehicles, it will be interesting to see how the 924FE is received by customers and operators alike.
