Kia has launched three new electric GT models in Europe: the EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT. The new vehicles, which went on sale this month, expand the brand's electric performance lineup beyond the existing EV6 GT and EV9 GT.
Pablo Martinez Masip, vice president of product, marketing & customer experience at Kia Europe, said the move opens the "GT experience to new segments and making electric performance accessible to a broader range of customers." The new models range from a compact hatchback to midsize and three-row SUVs, all featuring a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, an electronically controlled suspension, and exclusive design cues.
Performance and powertrain specifications
All three new GT models use a larger 81.4 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor AWD powertrain. Kia's Virtual Gear Shift and Active Sound Design system are included to replicate the sensations of a traditional combustion-engine sports car.
The EV3 GT produces 288 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque, enabling a 0-62 mph sprint in 5.7 seconds. Kia calls it a more responsive and emotionally engaging version of its standard model.
The EV4 GT is offered in either hot hatch or fastback body styles. It uses the same dual-motor AWD setup and accelerates from 0-62 mph in 5.6 seconds. The EV5 GT is positioned as the most versatile expression of the GT line, with 301 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque, achieving 0-62 mph in 6.2 seconds.
Driving range and pricing
The models offer varying driving ranges based on the European WLTP test cycle. Pricing for the new lineup starts in Germany.
| Model | WLTP Range (miles/km) | Starting Price (Germany) | Starting Price (USD approx.) |
|---|---|---|---|
| EV3 GT | Up to 311 mi (501 km) | €53,990 | $62,500 |
| EV4 GT Fastback | Up to 333 mi (537 km) | €57,840 | $67,000 |
| EV4 GT Hatchback | Up to 314 mi (505 km) | €57,840 | $67,000 |
| EV5 GT | Up to 295 mi (476 km) | €59,990 | $69,500 |
Kia's existing electric GT models, the EV6 GT and EV9 GT, start at €69,990 and €90,490 in Germany, respectively. The company stated it will reveal UK prices and specifications shortly, noting that the EV4 GT Fastback will not be available in the UK market.
Design and interior features
The new GT models feature exclusive design elements to distinguish them from their standard counterparts. Signature neon-green brake calipers and 20-inch alloy wheels are standard. Inside, each model gets GT-exclusive semi-bucket sports seats, a dedicated GT steering wheel, and a unique digital interface.
Limited availability in the United States
Kia has no plans to launch the EV4 GT or EV5 GT in the United States. However, the EV3 GT is now available in the US, with a starting price of $45,890. The US-spec EV3 GT has an EPA-estimated driving range of 280 miles.
The expansion gives Kia electric GT models across multiple segments, from the low-slung EV4 to the three-row EV9 GT. The launch follows the debut of the EV2 concept at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show earlier this year.
