Hyundai has opened UK order books for the updated IONIQ 6 electric saloon, with prices starting at £33,240. That price includes the £3,750 government Electric Car Grant. First deliveries are scheduled for early 2027.

The revised model introduces a realigned trim line-up and a larger 84kWh battery. The IONIQ 6 is available with either a 229 horsepower rear-wheel-drive or a 325 horsepower all-wheel-drive powertrain.

Trim levels and powertrain options

Three trim levels are offered: Premium, N-Line, and N-Line Evo. The Premium and N-Line rear-wheel-drive versions qualify for the full government grant.

Standard equipment on the Premium trim includes 18-inch alloy wheels, flush automatic door handles, and a heated steering wheel. Dual-zone climate control, a heat pump, and twin 12.3-inch digital displays are also fitted.

Battery and performance specifications

The new 84kWh battery is central to the update. It enables a claimed maximum driving range of 422 miles for the Premium rear-wheel-drive model. That version also achieves an efficiency figure of 4.6 miles per kilowatt-hour.

An 800-volt electrical architecture supports ultra-fast charging. Using a 350kW DC rapid charger, the battery can be replenished from 10% to 80% in approximately 18 minutes. A 50kW charger completes the same task in one hour and 20 minutes.

Detailed trim specifications and features

The N-Line trim, starting at £36,240, adds sportier styling. It features 20-inch alloy wheels, high-gloss black sports bumpers, and an N steering wheel. The interior gets metal sports pedals and cloth-and-leather sports seats with red stitching.

Upgrading to the range-topping N-Line Evo adds significant luxury and technology. Features include leather and suede seat trim, a suede headliner, and ventilated front relaxation seats. An electric sunroof, a head-up display, and a surround-view monitor are included. This trim also comes with a Bose premium audio system, remote smart parking assist, and an exterior vehicle-to-load adaptor.

Over-the-air update capability is standard across the range. So are advanced driver-assistance systems like Highway Drive Assist 2 and blind-spot collision avoidance. Customer deliveries are expected to begin in early 2027.
