Electrify America Opens Largest Charging Station in Orlando
Electrify America has opened its largest fast charging station to date in Orlando, Florida, with 24 stalls delivering up to 350 kW.

Electrify America has opened its largest fast charging station in Orlando, Florida. The site at Sand Lake Corners South features 24 high-speed DC fast chargers.
This large-format station is designed to serve at least 20 electric vehicles simultaneously. It offers drivers access to nearby restaurants and retail options while they charge.
Strategic Location
The station is strategically positioned at 8111-8481 South John Young Parkway. It is near Interstate 4, Orlando International Airport, Walt Disney World, and Universal Orlando Resort.
This makes it a convenient charging hub for travelers and tourists visiting Central Florida's major attractions.
Technical Specifications
All 24 charging stalls are equipped exclusively with the CCS1 connector. Each unit can deliver up to 350 kilowatts of power to compatible electric vehicles.
This presents a compatibility issue for a growing number of EVs. Tesla and Rivian vehicles sold in the U.S. come with NACS charging ports. Major automakers like General Motors, BMW, Stellantis, and Mercedes-Benz are also adopting the NACS standard. For now, drivers of those vehicles need an adapter to use this new Orlando station.

Industry Context
The expansion shows Florida's rapid electric vehicle adoption. The U.S. Department of Energy reported approximately 450,400 fully electric vehicles were registered in Florida in 2025. This gives Florida the second-highest number of registered EVs in the United States, trailing only California.
Electrify America now operates over 350 chargers across more than 60 stations in the state. Anthony Lambkin, a company executive, said, "This new station in Orlando represents our continued commitment to bringing fast, reliable, and convenient charging to Florida."
Future Expansion
Electrify America is not stopping here. The company plans to add another Orlando station with ten chargers at 10226 Curry Ford Road in the coming months. An exact launch date has not been announced.
The broader industry shift to NACS connectors, prompted by Tesla opening its Supercharger network, is being addressed. Electrify America is testing NACS connectors at selected sites, including another station at the Florida Mall in Orlando.
The company plans to add another 10-charger location in Orlando in the coming months.
